Why Bridgeport E-Z Lock® Is the ‘New Normal’ in Knockout Install Speed

In the past, snap-in connectors have had a reputation for being cheap or ineffectual. That’s why we designed E-Z Lock® to be better. At Bridgeport, we build every fitting to exceed expectations.

When it comes to running cable to a knockout, the locknut connector has traditionally been king—and Bridgeport has traditionally been the king of locknut connectors. This time-tested design forms a secure connection by attaching to the electrical box with a screw-on locknut.

Locknut connectors are a great choice for many installations, but they do have downsides. They take time to install and have to be installed properly to truly meet code. In locations where speed and ease-of-installation are important, professional-grade snap-in connectors shine.

A snap-in connector like E-Z Lock is rated for many of the same applications that locknut connectors have traditionally matched, but with added convenience features. Our design is easy to snap into place and easy to remove.

A connector is only as good as the bond it forms, and E-Z Lock fits tight in the knockout, providing an outstanding system bond. The simple snap-in mechanism lets even apprentices on your crew make quick work of large projects. E-Z Lock also fits a wide range of cable sizes and types.

E-Z Lock has options listed for many conduit and cable types:

  • AC
  • AC90
  • ACG90
  • ACMI-A
  • MC
  • MCI-A
  • MC-PCS
  • FMC
  • HCF
  • HCFMCI-A

We’ve recently expanded the E-Z Lock line with duplex connectors for MC-PCS Cable, alongside existing options for single, 90-degree, combination snap-in/duplex and more. For ½” or ¾” knockouts and cables with an outer diameter of .38 to .85, there’s a E-Z Lock connector for most applications.

At Bridgeport, we’ve been innovating for over 95 years—and we haven’t earned our reputation for reliable quality by releasing untested products. That’s why you can count on E-Z Lock Snap-In Connectors. They’re quick to install or remove, grip tight in the knockout and fit a wide range of cable styles and sizes.
