In ILSCO’s 120+ year history we continue to evolve as a company to meet the ever changing demands of the industry.  Our origins began as 1894, as the Incandescent Light & Stove Company, a manufacturer of gas lighting systems.  Over the years, electrical systems replaced gas systems.  ILSCO developed the SLU line of copper mechanical connectors to support these systems.  With the introduction of aluminum, ILSCO pioneered the development of mechanical connectors where we found our niche for a number of years.

However, with product diversification, innovation, and acquisition we have become known for much more.  

Over the years ILSCO built a solid reputation as an industry leader in the manufacture of aluminum mechanical connectors.  With product diversification and innovation we have become known for much more.  Our SureCrimp® copper and aluminum compression connectors are second to none in the industry and are Listed with a multitude of industry standard tools.  Our Surgency™ surge protective devices are a perfect complement to our broad offering of PermaGround® grounding and bonding connectors.  ILSCO’s extensive NIMBUS® pre-insulated connector offering continues to take market share from the competition.  With the introductions of touch safe power distribution blocks, wire management and TaskMaster® Tools we are well armed to convert customers to ILSCO.

Product support comes from multiple channels including engineering services which supports a state of the art testing facility certified to test to UL, CSA and ANSI standards.  This capability sets ILSCO apart from our competitors.
