SAN DIEGO, CA – October 14, 2009 – Trade Service announced today that Supplier Xchange, its network used by electrical distributors and contractors to communicate customer-specific price quotes, in real time, to help contractors produce more accurate job estimates, logged $121 million in quote activity during the month of September. Since Supplier Xchange was introduced in January, the dollar volume has been steadily increasing, with this month, breaking $100 million.
According to Tod Moore, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, “Supplier Xchange, since its inception in January, is steadily gaining market acceptance and momentum. Each month, more distributors are agreeing to participate, and more contractors are taking advantage of this real-time connectivity with their trading partners.”
“When we first learned about the Supplier Xchange service, we knew immediately that we would want access to this impressive technology for partnering with our electrical contractor customers. Since then, we've become an active participant, with hundreds of jobs being run against our files every month. We're experiencing an excellent match rate with our customers' material lists and so far, 22 of our customers have become more successful estimators by connecting with us through Supplier Xchange." - Jeff Corrick, Vice President, Stoneway Electric Supply (electrical distributor, Tacoma WA).
Supplier Xchange, now compatible with the industry’s leading estimating software, including Accubid, McCormick, Maxwell/Estimation, ConEst, and Cert-In, is a network component of TRA-SER, Trade Service’s electronic catalog and pricing service, and is provided at no additional charge to all TRA-SER subscribers as well as to all Trade Service contractor and distributor subscribers.
