SAN DIEGO- August 31, 2006 – Today
the company announced the availability
of Super Store benchmark pricing data
to its office products industry customers.
The availability of this type of pricing
data is a significant competitive tool
for small to medium-sized office products
dealers. It allows the dealer to effectively
compete on price against the big, conglomerate
office products stores such as Office
Max, Staples and Office Depot.
This announcement comes
only six months after Trade Service
enhanced its office products industry
role with the purchase of O/PUS from
ECI2. “Our goal following the acquisition
of O/PUS was to make a considerable
contribution to their product offering.
The introduction of the Super Store
pricing data is one of the many ways
we are accomplishing that goal,” said
Tod Moore, Vice President of Sales &
Marketing.
The pricing data, represents
national pricing for Office Depot and
Office Max. Staples pricing data is
segregated into three geographic regions,
West, Midwest and East, which enables
the dealer’s development of an even
greater price-targeted strategy.
The company plans to
continually update and improve the data,
and to segment Office Depot and Office
Max data into regions as well.
